Dermafrac Beauty treatment Review at Evolve Advanced Cosmetic Medicine.

Evolve is an aesthetic medical clinic in Melbourne located on the Paris end of Little Collins. They Specialise in tailored, individualized treatment plans. Evolve works with each client focusing on personal goals, aiming to give a unique, natural beauty and confidence. The name Evolve is somewhat fitting, moving Skin Aesthetics out of the Triassic Period and into the New Age, employing superior cutting edge techniques.

It’s time to spring clean your skincare routine with Evolve. In preparation for the rising mercury, I have enlisted Evolve Cosmetic Medicine to prepare my skin for the warmer months ahead.Evolve-Melbourne-Aesthetic-Medical-ClinicIt is now my second visit to Evolve my first being for the Laser Genesis. And I am beyond excited 🙂

Today’s treatment is called Dermafrac which is a combination of three therapy’s.

Accompanying my treatment Evolve recommends concentrated serums one of which is  Aspect Dr. another weapon to add to my arsenal ensuring a youthful, glowing skin. This product is a front-line fighter in the war against aging keeping simplicity vs. functionality on par with today’s standards.

Step 1. Microdermabrasion.

The first step is Microdermabrasion which helps lift away dead skin cells and debris that are caught up in the skin.Improves scars stretch marks and lines/wrinkles.On top of that, it can balance out uneven skin tones. The whole procedure leaves the skin a lot smoother.

The Microdermabrasion uses a pencil sized wand/vacuum which feels like a small sucker fish.

Step 2. Infusion Therapy(with hyaluronic)

The second phase uses a different wand with a micro-needling head, which infuses ingredients into the skin that is typically unable to penetrate that deeply.Dermafrac-Micro-needling-EvolveOne may become worried when “hyaluronic acid” is used in a sentence regarding the face. But this is not the case as it is a typical ingredient in most skincare products and is commonly used as a Dermal Filler.

Step 3. L.E.D Light Therapy

The final stage of treatment is Photo-L.E.D therapy.A light wand runs across the skin which stimulates regenerative healing. The procedure itself is very calming and therapeutic. Having a host of benefits from helping heal old injuries and give cells more energy and life a process called “Mitochondria.” Treatments using Photo-L.E.D therapy may decrease downtime from skin treatments; Dermafrac, Dermapen, Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, facial lasering and post injections filler/anti-wrinkle injections.I have achieved many benefits from Light Therapy which I discuss in a previous post here.

Combining Light Therapy with Evolves other treatments is a great way to promote accelerated healing. The quick turnaround leads to fast healing and long-lasting results.

Does this treatment have downtime?

Apart from perhaps being a little pink, there is no considerable downtime. Having you primed & ready to resume your regular duties.

Will micro needling hurt?!

Short answer No. The needles on the Dermafrac hand-piece are minuscule, approximately .25 of a millimeter to be exact you’ll hardly feel them. For example, when the wand rolls over the treatment area, the sensation is similar to that of a cat licking you. Personally, I could’ve taken a catnap during the session.

How long does the treatment take?

Approx. 45 mins

Do I need a series of followup treatments to see results?

It’s a very light therapy, a modern-day facial that encourages profound cellular change compared to a relaxation facial. Many patients will begin to experience the Dermafrac difference after only one treatment, although for the maximum results as many as four to six treatments may be required two to four weeks apart.

Will you see results straight away?

Having a good skin palate, to begin with, I saw subtle results. Whereas people with unhealthy and dehydrated skin types will see more noticeable results.

Can I choose which serums are used during the infusion.

Yes! You and the dermal clinician can strategize an attack plan for your skin type. Attaining the best results tailored to your skin type.

What should I do after the treatment?

It should go without saying “slip slop slap”I Always Sunscreen every day.You don’t need to do anything after this treatment just relax and enjoy your fresh skin.

“Regular” facials are sooo 1992, and like that year I will also leave behind the primitive facial; facial Infusions give your skin that plump youth full glow that lasts long after you have gone from the clinician’s chair. The result smooth plump and fresh skin, Perfect for upcoming events. With no downtime and soft, unblemished skin, this is the facial of the future. I would recommend this treatment because there is science to the skin.I feel like I’m in good hands with Evolve.

  1. The before and after pics are actually the most compelling to me in all of this. The other compelling part is my best friend moving to Melb a couple of weeks ago and me needing to try out all there is to offer out there. Here I heard Sydney is all the shit, but apparently Melb is the place to be both fashion, influencer and otherwise (besides it’s somewhat close to Perth where Troye Sivan lives, haha). Thank you for this lovely review!

  2. Thanks for sharing your experience with us, I’ve never heard of this treatment before but it seems so complete and I love trying new technologies. For sure one to include in my pampering lost for this Christmas as my skin has been suffering a lot this year.

  3. So i am literally so afraid of getting facials. I have never gotten one done because my skin is so sensitive and dry. This sounds so amazing though. Like a refresh for your skin. I’ve heard microdebrasion is great for your face and the LED therapy is new to me. Thanks for sharing

  4. Why don’t we have medical clinics like this in the States? I personally think I would love this treatment. For one, I have really dry skin and it especially comes out when it gets cold outside, so I could use a microdermabrasion treatment on my skin to get rid of the dead skin (that may be dry skin). I have heard of microneedling, but I’ll admit I was a little chicken simply because of the word “needles” alone being glided across my skin. It’s so calming to know it doesn’t hurt at all. Glad you had a great experience!

  5. Hey beautiful,
How are you? This treatment seems absolutely wonderful. Skin care is one of the most important things for me. I’m that kind of person that own tons of moisturizers and products that keep your face enriched. I’ve gotten quite a few treatments with microneedles in the past and I didn’t feel a thing. I honestly saw a big difference in this so it seems like it works great. Thanks so much for sharing and I would definitely be curious to try it out.

    xoxo, vanessa

  6. This skin clinic sounds incredible! I will have to see if we have something similar in LA. Your skin is seriously so gorgeous to begin with, so I can’t see too much of a difference to be honest, although your skin definitely looks PLUMPER and your laugh lines less evident in the after photo! I’m seriously loving the glow.

  7. Awesome treatment and experience. The 3 steps of the treatment are very good for see results. And love how your skin result more relaxed and lift- up . Love how renewing the cellular complex I think every woman need to experience this .

  8. This sounds amazing. I can see the dramatic changes of your skin from the before and after photos! I would love to try it when I’m back in Melbourne next month!!! Let’s also lock in a date for coffee so you can tell me all the good things about it in person. I have never done a laser treatment before, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing results.

    xx, Jessie

  9. I loved reading this post! I have never heard of the Dermafrac treatment, but your results look great! Your face looks smoother and your smile lines are gone! I definitely have to see if I can find this treatment locally. The Microdermabrasion alone sounds amazing!

    Thanks for sharing!

  10. The results are absolutely incredible! It is so important to care for your skin properly when the seasons change, and this is such a great way to do it. I normally get facials, but I definitely need to try this treatment out. It looks so good!

  11. The Dermafrac treatment sounds absolutely divine, especially when it combines 3 different procedures. I love the infusion therapy thou, I’m trying to do it as often as possible because I literally can see the result. But I would love to try the complex. Thank you for such an amazing review, I will definitely look for a clinic here in Berlin, coz it sounds so great!

  12. I never tried any facial treatment in my life, but I can see how your emotional wrinkle disappeared. I heard a lot of good things about TED light treatment, maybe need to make more search and find good clinic in US. Normally, I try to stay with more natural products like oils, creams and drinking a lot of water. My mother-in-law even uses normal soap to wash her face and her skin is so perfect.

  13. These treatments look very great! I like to nourish my skin and this sound very perfect for me. I recently tried Microdermabrasion for the first time a month ago at home and I love it. I’m not scared of the needles as I think is similar to doing acupuncture perhaps? Your skin looks very radiant and fabulous after the treatment. Thank you for such an excellent review. XX Gina

      Thanks Gina
If you’re comfortable with acupuncture then this is a walk in the park for you the needles are minuscule you can barely feel them at all it’s a lovely treatment to plump your skin and feel fresh

  14. First of all, when you said normal facials are so 1992 it made me literally LOL. Evolve sounds like a wonderful place for skin care. I love that this is in fact, taking the usual facial up a notch. I’d say I have a pretty smooth palate to begin with as well but I feel as though I still want a bit more than the average facial. Step 2 The Infusion Therapy sounds like that step up I’m looking for. I’m not really scared of needles at all but it’s still good to know it’s not painful. Step 3. L.E.D Light Therapy sounds like a must have after a treatment. Although, I’d say that I didn’t have any reaction or redness at all after the last chemical peel I had. I wonder why that is? Just thinking out loud. Anyways, I’m sure it’s incredibly helpful after other procedures!

  16. I am all about skincare and prevention and maintenance so this post is for me! I’ve recently become even more critical about all the little sun spots on my face and fighting aging and have been looking into laser treatments and therapy. I love the idea that you can inject hyaluronic acid into your face with teeny tiny needles. We all need that extra plump as we get older. The LED light treatment sounds perfect for me too to help with even skin tone and just maintaining my skin on an ongoing basis. I wish they had this clinic here, but I will look into these procedures around where I live. Your skin looks amazing! xoxo, Christine

  17. Wow – these treatments seem amazing! My skin has been so dry and they sound perfect. I’m a little nervous about the needles but I’m glad to hear it doesn’t hurt. Your skin looks gorgeous and I totally see a difference between the before and after! Very impressive!
